Community Concerns Lead to Successful Police Action |
Following concerns raised by local residents regarding anti-social behaviour (ASB) and drug-related crime, officers from the Romford Town Centre Team and local Safer Neighbourhood Team (SNT) have been working proactively to address these issues. This has included a combination of overt and covert patrols across the ward, alongside enforcement action against those responsible for causing harm to our communities. As a result, multiple offenders have been issued with Community Protection Notices. On Sunday 4 October, officers arrested an individual for a number of offences including drug supply. The suspect has since been charged by police and remanded into custody to appear before court. We hope this positive result will contribute to a reduction in ASB and crime in the area. Police will continue to work closely with partners, including Havering Enforcement, to tackle criminality and improve community safety. Residents are encouraged to continue reporting concerns to police via 101 or through our online reporting services. Concerns relating to environmental issues or other local authority matters should also be reported to Havering Council where appropriate.
Thank you for your continued support.
